I think it's amazing when a photographer can make any picture look like a dream. I was searching for an excellent children's photographer that I had found online a few months ago. I ran across this photographer- I'm sure she wouldn't mind some publicity :) (not that I get that many viewers on my blog! ;) ha haa)

Sight for Sore Eyes

Well I spruced things up around here- if you can tell :). What do you think about the new retro look? The header took me quite a while to fix up... Probably wasn't the best thing for my eyes- I get so focused that I forget to blink, then my eyes, which are already red and aching, burn even more. Oh well- the new layout is a Sight for Sore Eyes :)- pun intended.

The stomach flu seems to have been going around, and I had bad luck on Wednesday and caught it :P... It's Sunday now and I'm still recovering--- hope it doesn't take too much longer to get back into good spirits :). I'm hoping for a visit this next weekend from my brother and two good friends!

Since I'm recovering at home, and My Love has gone fishing for the day, I think I might draw up some good house plans... Something worth thinking about these days- with the hopes of buying land within in the next year.

Kinda lonely around here...

Having more car troubles... Back in July my driver's side window slid down and wouldn't come back up. That cost about $380 to repair.

Today, my front passenger side window also dropped down when I shut the door....

Why does it seem like this jeep is just sucking the money right out of me??? I'd like to save up money to make a trip to go see a very special and loverly person... but it's rather difficult when you end up having car trouble after car trouble...

sorry for such a bummed out post today everybody :(....

Nothin' Much

Can't believe it's been two weeks since my last post... and I had been doing so good on keeping on top of it! I got rather distracted with researching my family tree :). I got back to the 1300's on one side of my family and found that they came from royal families in Scotland :). So that was neat :).

I'm now babysitting an 8 month old baby boy Monday through Friday during the day. He's been pretty good so far :).

I'm really hoping for a visit from my two of my bestest friends and I'm also hoping to make a visit to my other bestest friend in Ireland :).

I finally decided to get down on the ground to take pictures of Maximus. I seem to always make him look smaller than he is because I stand above him for his "photo shoots" ;) ha ha....





This is The Amazing 5 Minute Tennisball! Watch, before your very own eyes, this magnificent dog will destroy the ball iin less than 5 minutes! What a fantastic waste of money! :)



I did the worst thing possible just a minute ago.... I showed Maximus his own Vacuum Monster video- and he was convinced that there was another dog in the room with us ;)... uhhh... bad idea.... he's finally stopped barking and has gone back over to play with his shredded tennis ball.

Also, I took Maximus to the vet this morning. 28" tall, 87 lbs.

A Bunch of Limes

Our friends, Brian and Jessica, have a lime tree in their backyard. They were kind enough to give us a whole load of them!

As always, I don't enjoy water plain- I must add some squirt of either lemon or lime to it. (I've tried orange slices, and didn't quite care for that...)

I sliced into the lime, expecting to find a pale green interior, and was surprised to find a pale shade of cantaloupe... The taste was similar to that of a store-bought lime, but the smell was more like an aromatic oil :). I don't think I'll die....

I'm quite proud of myself :)... I finished organizing all the pictures on my computer, and then I uploaded about a zillion pictures onto my flickr site :). I'm so proud of myself ;)--- it's nice to mentally check something that big off of your list!

I started another blog the other day... one dedicated to homemaking... I was in a literary mood, so the first post seems rather---- stiff. So I think I'll go back and edit it. And then make it publicly known to people ;) hee hee... Sorry to all your loverly sisters that I shared it with and then you probably thought I was being goofily stuck up :).

And then as I was *trying* to falling asleep last night, it occured to me that keeping up with two blogs might prove difficult- and how much easier and more colorful it would be if I just posted everything onto one blog. But alas, I've decided to keep them separate, so that the homemaking blog is solely about homemaking :).

Off to send my mother all the Screaming Banshee e-cards from Hallmark.com, as she requested :). (She thought the Valentines Day Banshee card I sent to Justin was hilarious :)...)

For my morning "run" (that means driving ;)....) I stopped by the dollar store and found this DVD, "Martha Stewart's Homemade Holidays," for only $3.00 So of course I bought it. Good thing too... my Blockbuster DVDs didn't come in this morning- and they are now three days late. So now I can have something worthwhile to watch.

Also, I didn't have my coffee pot pushed under the dripper properly and everything overflowed...uck.... so I am now settled and will now have a new cup of coffee and a palmier while I watch my show....

A Quiet Life

The title says it all.... It's quiet down here. My schedule is rather open.... My event of the week is my grocery shopping trip to a city about 40 minutes away. It's a rather big day for me :). I go to Blockbuster, Wal-Mart, and sometimes HEB- if I don't get what I need at Wal-Mart. I'm also planning on meeting weekly for lunch with a friend and her two small children. Right now, she's the only other wife I know around here :).

Not much to say, other than I'm really enjoying DSL. And I'm looking forward to getting settled into a church hopefully soon!
